Control cabinet build and VDE testing

Scope of services

SIS Automation takes over assembly, wiring and testing of control and distribution cabinets per your documents. Manufacturing is done by qualified partner workshops; responsibility, quality control and final inspection stay with SIS Automation.

Pure contract manufacturing to your schematic is our standard case. Send us the wiring diagram and bill of materials and we will give you a date and a price. If you bring EPLAN documents, we transfer the layout directly into manufacturing. We create our own EPLAN documentation on request.

We build single units and series. We clarify details on quantity and delivery date in the initial consultation.

VDE testing before delivery

Every control cabinet undergoes a VDE test to VDE 0113 (controls for machines) and VDE 0100 (heavy-current installations) before delivery. You receive a test report.

The standards applied are VDE 0113 (safety of machinery — electrical equipment) and VDE 0100 (erection of low-voltage installations) — depending on the cabinet type.

Process

1. Check documents: you send the wiring diagram and bill of materials; we give feedback on completeness and manufacturing date.
2. Manufacturing: assembly and wiring to plan in the partner workshop, under the responsibility of SIS Automation.
3. VDE testing: insulation measurement, protective-conductor test, functional test to VDE 0113 / VDE 0100.
4. Delivery with documentation: test report, as-built documentation, handover to you or directly to your end customer.

The process is identical whether you take a single cabinet or a series.

Who this suits

This is aimed at OEMs and machine builders, at plant builders with their own wiring diagram but no own manufacturing, and at companies with existing plants that want to extend or retrofit an existing cabinet.
