Project process and commissioning

Four phases, one point of contact

At SIS Automation every project runs in four phases: initial consultation, engineering, control cabinet build and commissioning. The initial consultation is a free audit of your plant or your building project. We check the existing situation, the requirements and funding eligibility. In engineering, the PLC program, KNX topology and wiring diagram are created; you receive the specification and an effort estimate. In control cabinet build, assembly and wiring of the cabinets follow the plan, followed by VDE testing before delivery.

Commissioning covers setup, connection and ramp-up on site. Handover includes documentation, instruction and 12 months of warranty. There is one point of contact from planning to handover.

Commissioning at the customer

We take over commissioning at the customer worldwide: setup, connection, test and ramp-up of the plant. We hand over a working plant, not a parts list. This includes FAT and SAT, mechatronic tests and the handover documentation.

Consulting without implementation

We audit existing plants, write specifications and plan migrations — even without follow-on implementation by us.

Project duration

A KNX single-family home typically runs 4–8 weeks, a machine modernisation 8–16 weeks. After the initial consultation we give a reliable estimate — no shots in the dark.
